When using them, care must be taken to ensure correct polarity. For the sen- 
sor connection cable, the corresponding compensating cable should always 
be used. The maximum operating temperature for type K is up to 1,250 °C at 
the sensor tip.

Temperature measurement and control
Temperature sensors measure the temperature at the location to be monitored.
This can be on a pipe, a reactor or as well on a PILZ laboratory heater. 
The temperature range to be measured, the type of installation of the heater 
and connection of the sensor, as well as the use of suitable control technology, 
among other things, must be taken into account.
