Sound Level Meter PCE-430-EKIT

Road and traffic noise and the resulting burden on people is increasing more and more. To check this road noise with a meter, the PCE-430-EKIT can be used. The traffic noise meter is supplied with the sounder PCE-430 and a waterproof accessory kit, which allows outdoor use for road noise measurement.
The road noise and traffic noise meter is a Class 1 sound level meter with built-in octave band filter. This filter can optionally be upgraded with a 1/3 octave band filter to analyze the intensity of the sound pressure in the frequencies between 6.3 Hz and 20 kHz. The measuring range of the road noise measuring device is 22 ... 136 dbA. The traffic noise meter can measure the sound level in the rating patterns A, B, C and Z. When evaluating the road noise in terms of time, Fast, Slow and Impuls are available to the user. The street noise meter PCE-430-EKIT is equipped with a data logger on Micro-SD card. This data memory is capable of cyclically storing the measured values ??of the traffic noise measuring device. In addition to storing the measured values, the road noise measuring devices can of course also display the measured values ??on the integrated LCD. Here it is possible to select between numeric and graphical by pressing a button.

The special feature of the traffic noise meter PCE-430-EKIT is the outdoor accessory. The measuring device is thus delivered in such a way that it can be installed and operated permanently or temporarily outdoors, i.e. directly on roads and traffic routes. The Road Noise measuring kit consists of a waterproof plastic case, a wind and rain cover for the class 1 measuring microphone, additional batteries and a corresponding charger for the batteries. With the help of additional batteries, the road noise meter can easily measure and record traffic noise for several days on a road.

The stored measurement data can be analyzed and evaluated after the road noise measurement via the supplied software or other spreadsheet programs.
